Fantastic News

Praise God,

Tonight at around 7:00 I was telling Dar that I needed to go home and give Maverick his pilly willys and his cookie treat. I thought I saw her smile. I found her nurse and told her that I thought I made Dar smile. Sarah was excited but needed to see it herself for documentation, so I told Dar what I needed to do and again she smiled, yep a definate smile.

I then decided to see if I could get more reactions from her so I told her the story with more feeling and low and behold Dar started laughing. Not a chuckle but a full blown eyes squinted happy laugh. If not for the trach I think we would have heard it.

But as Paul Harvey says, " now the rest of the story". We made her laugh and smile with Maverick stories at least a half a dozen times. Even the night nurse Jennifer got in on the act. I then left to start making calls, crying and laughing all the way, when I returned Sarah told me that Dar moved her right arm. In fact Sarah had to tell her to stop so she could change her bandage. I did not see this but Sarah showed me later that she could get Dar to do it again. She pulled back the sheets and told Dar that she was going to pinch her, Dar flinched, then when Sarah actually pinched Dar she pulled right out of her grasp. She did this twice, this is what is called reaction to pain stimulus. A very good thing, Only on the right but a great start.

A really great start because tomorrow the Santa Clara Valley Med Center is sending up an evaluator to access Dar for transfer to their facility in Santa Clara. So you see how monumental this is. This facility is one of the premier facilities in Calif and the country. Please pray that Dar gets rest tonight and that tomorrow will be a great day for her.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your prayers, I know their have been literally hundreds of folks praying for her and I will never be able to thank you, but from the bottom of my heart thank you is not enough, God has his hand in this and miracles do happen, I just witnessed several tonight. Please continue to keep Dar in your thoughts as you begin your day tomorrow and thank Him for His Blessings when you retire for the night.

Good night friends

All my love, Danny
